The Man Behind Happy Hour

by Kayoko Akabori

Meet Paystyle– a dashing, whip-smart, er, smartass from Brooklyn by way of Los Angeles. He’s got dreams. Dreams of someday calling it quits as a lawyer (94 hour work weeks, fuck that!), and pursuing a career as a first-rate mixologist. ¡Viva España!

by Kayoko Akabori

Game starts in three hours, and I’m jumping on the Paul the Octopus bandwagon to say GO SPAIN! Let’s be real- them Spanish mussels just taste better. Just sayin’. PS: Paul is by far the silliest phenomenon of the year.

It was an animated, fruitful discussion, giving the audience a taste of Adria’s brilliance. Adria spoke completely off-the-cuff, in random bits and pieces, with […]

Vegemite Rainforest Picnic, AU

by Erin Gleeson

Along with our sandwiches we tried some Australian specialties: Tim Tam cookies and vegemite spread. I liked the former, and here’s what I had to […]

Pancake Breakfast in Santa Barbara

by Erin Gleeson

Those who came to my pancake party know that I LOVE a good flapjack. So when I was in Santa Barbara for the weekend, I was delighted to be able to go to the Pancake Breakast that was put on by the Kiwanis Club as a part of Fiesta. Pass the syrup, please!
